Picks up the bars from a freshly coated stack and separates the bars and the spacers into an array on a tape.

Reliable Bar Separation.

Multiple devices ensure that bars that have baked together will separate damage-free.

Fast and Smooth Operation.

Machine vision and precise motion seamlessly integrated to handle laser bars with cavities ranging from 150µm to 6000µm.

Full Automatic Unstacker For Diode Bars

The full automatic bar unstacker VKSB3000 is the perfect addition to a tool park with an automated stacking unit such as the VJSB3000. Both tools perfectly complement each other for your target of increasing yield and production capacity at this crucial and delicate handling step when the bars’ production added value is almost at the top. The unstacker VKSB300 has an optimized jig station geometry at an angle of 45°  to ensure safe and fast unstacking of the coated jig. The machine vision system oversees the process and the original technology from OptoSystem successfully separates all bars without damaging them. After unstacking the laser bars and the spacers are placed on different tapes such as frames and GelPaks.

FAQ

Why not better an integrated Stacker/Unstacker tool instead?

The VKSB3000 is a very good choice if you already have a stacking tool and want to improve speed, yield and overall capacity in the unstacking step. A combination tool that not only unstacks, but also stacks, such as the VDSB3000 might be a better option if you are just starting to automatize the stacking process and expanding your capacity. We do in those cases actually recommend to consider the only stacker tool VJSB3000 as well. Its accuracy is better as compared to a combination tool, yet not so versatile. In the case that you are looking into automating the optical inspection step, it might be worth considering the VKSV3000 since it does integrate the optical vision with the unstacking from the jig in one tool.

Why should I care for an unstacker with 45° geometry?

During the unstacking process, the coated bars in the jig are more or less standing by themselves and handling the jig can be a very shaky task. By leaning the jig against a 45° slope, the stack is considerably stabilized for further processing. The original technology from OptoSystem separates the bars from the spacers and picks up the bars in the 45° angle. The delicate coated facets do not touch any surface and the unstacker tool places the bars precisely either on taped frame or on a GelPak. While stacking the bars can be done better in a more upright angle, we do master unstacking at 45°.

Do you provide the jigs too?

Yes, the jig is a critical part of the VKSB3000 and we will be happy to offer several designs that will adapt to your individual needs. If you have a design already that is implemented into your factory, we will be glad to discuss how it can be adjusted to fit in your existing tools and the VKSB3000.

Do you process my wafers?

Right now we do not have the capability to act as an OEM manufacturer but we are looking for partners to be able to do so in the future. If you want to try out how our tools work on your devices, please get in touch and send us some samples. We are eager to show off and learn about new applications. If you own Opto System tools and would like to offer OEM services, please get in touch too.
